Premier Retro Velvet or Bernat Velvet - Less than 1 skein. Personally I like the Retro Velvet better for these. It’s a bit thicker and doesn’t shed as much.
Prym J Crochet Hook
Scissors (these are just cool because they have a lid for traveling)
Stitches
Single Crochet
Double Crochet
Slip Stitch
Pattern
Rnd 1: 50 Sc around hair tie. Sl st to first sc. The number of sc is approximate but keep adding more until the tie is completely covered.
Tip: work around the tail of your starting stitch, hiding it within the sc stitches, so you don’t have to weave it in later.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, 3 dc in each sc around. Sl st to top of ch 3. Weave in loose ends. (About 150 dc but who’s counting really).
